“The Half Moon Tunnel Speakeasy “ was the close out celebration to Atlas Obscura's “Obscura Day.” A day in which people, all over the world, explore the unusual and extraordinary locations in and around their hometowns. It is the annual celebration of all of the unique and bizarre curiosities that make Kansas City a weirdo yet wonderful place to live.
The obvious choice being to host a wild swinging party in the derelict comfort of the underground. Featuring performances by artist/rapper HIGHWESTHUS, fire spinning by Jason D'Vaude, and funky angelic jazz punk brass band sounds dreamt up by Kyle Little and The Earthworm Subterranean Chamber Ensemble.
