THE ELECTRIC PARK REVIVAL

Hosted a swinging celebration and toasted to the historic past of the East Bottoms with the Electric Park Revival in collaboration with Atlas Obscura. The evening's program included performances by master puppeteer Kraig Kensinger, live music by Joseph Warren & the Wanderlust Revival, Michael Bushnell of the Northeast News, Gina Kaufman of KCUR live on-stage interviewing Atlas Obscura co-founder Dylan Thuras, speakers Andy Rieger & Pam Nigro, and featured imagery from the private collections from the Kansas City Museum & Michael Busnell. This was a recreated shanty town inspired tribute to Kc’s first amusement park Electric Park by Heim Brewery on site at the historic Heim Brewery facility. Complete with carnival games, casino style hermit crab racing, historic slide shows, vintage 1920's puppets, and classic cocktails all in honor of Atlas Obscura’s book release tour for Atlas Obscura: An Explorer's Guide to the World's Hidden Wonders.
